When Arizona passed the law, the Obama appointed Attorney General Erick Holder, immediately came out as opposed to the Arizona Law, before he even read it.  I wish this was an exception to those in the Obama Administration, but it is typical. Obama himself led the way when he condemned the police in Cambridge when he, by his own admission, did not know the facts. When attacking Arizona, Obama even stated in a speech that he does not dare go to get ice cream for his kids in Arizona because he might be arrested for “looking Hispanic”. Well that might be true if, while he was there, he decided rob the ice cream store, but the law specifically prohibits police from arbitrarily stopping anyone by racial profiling or “looking Hispanic”. You have to be breaking another law before they can stop you. Either Obama had not read the law or he was lying. (I am tired of people using the word disingenuous when they really mean lying.) Obama seems to have a serious allergy to the truth. Even the head of Homeland Security, a former Governor of Arizona, condemned the law. She, at least, should have known better.
So now Arizona has passed the law and many people who think it is more important to be “politically correct” than to be honest, support justice, or get informed about the facts, are boycotting and protesting Arizona. Either they have not read the law or are too ignorant to understand the law. It does not matter; they are marching for “Human Rights” because someone, with their own agenda, told them so. It makes them feel “morally superior” to Arizonians and based on accusations based on nothing, still condemn the entire State. What about the “Human Rights” of those living in Arizona where they are getting murdered and kidnaped by illegal, drug involved aliens? You can be sure Arizona would never have passed the law if the Federal Government had bothered to enforce the Federal Law for the last few decades. State officials and citizens have the right, in fact the duty, to protect themselves. The alternative is pure anarchy and third world government.
So now the Justice Department is filing a law suit, claiming that border enforcement is the duty of the Federal Government because it is a Federal Law. Is this the best the “super intelligent” people in Washington can do? If that is a valid interpretation of law, what right does the State and Local Law Enforcement have to enforce drug laws? These are also Federal Laws. According to this logic, local officials can only enforce speeding, running red lights and other non-federal laws. The Obama crowd cannot even claim “racial profiling” which they have been shouting in speeches, before it even happens. Therefore they are limited on what they can claim. But they had to do something to placate “Potential Hispanic voters” and forget about the Constitution and the rule of law.
What about the “Sanctuary Cities”? They have passed laws that are in direct contradiction of Federal Laws, but nothing is being done against these entities. Nothing is being done about the voter intimidation by the “New Black Panthers” in Philadelphia. It is beyond my logic trying to understand the Obama Administration actions, without wondering about what agenda he is enforcing. Is he fundamentally changing the “Truth, Justice, and the American way” of life to something resembling a third world country? Are we becoming Venezuela?
